Since TransQuip purchased a small mudflap business in 2022, we took over printing Fruehauf’s custom mudflaps. They have experienced a lot of improvements, working with us as their new supplier.

We talked to Werner Theunissen, Fruehauf’s production supervisor about his experiences with us and buying our custom-branded mudflaps, this is what he had to say: “When TransQuip brought the Mudflap company we previously used, shipment delays stopped, and our mudflap orders always turned up on time.”

Time Saving on ordering:

Werner has seen time saving improvements since their mudflaps have been printed by TransQuip, in terms of the ordering and stock availability. “The stock turnaround time is much quicker, and we have definitely seen improvements in delivery time frames”

To make sure Fruehauf always has their mudflaps on time we print them in house and stock extra printed flaps at our Auckland branch so we can ship overnight. “This helped speed things up as the Mudflaps are a stock item that we use every day.” Werner remarked when asked why they use TransQuip over other suppliers. If we don’t hold stocks we promise shipping within ten working days for all mudflaps printed in house.

He further said that we are “quick to resolve any issues with mudflap quality”.  This level of care is carried through into the service as Werner remarked, “Service is always good, as you’re there to help us when needed” Our Salesman Mike makes sure to communicate fluently so every touch point is taken care of, giving Werner and his team peace of mind when ordering our mudflaps.

Why the Plasflap ribbed flaps are best for Fruehauf?

Fruehauf order our stiff anti-spray Plasflaps ribbed white mudflaps in 3 sizes to fit their trailer and truck bodies. The ribs on the flap are to reduce spray, as the spray off the wheels runs down the inside of the flap instead of spraying out the sides, keeping the spray down for following cars and less dirt being flicked up on their trucks.

Plasflaps material is Fruehauf’s preference as their trucks are typically not tippers, so they don’t need the flaps to bend; however, the flaps will bend without breaking when needed. Because of the stiff material and reinforced ribs, no anti-sail bracket is needed to hold the flaps from bending, so they stay straighter and have better endurance than other materials.
